A Canterbury Tale
Today started off much better if for no other reason than I discovered that the little machine at the breakfast bar dispenses as much Nutella as you want!
We had to take two different subway lines to catch the tour bus and feel like we are getting the hang of travelling around this city by underground, bus, or train. Our tour today was to see the white cliffs of Dover with a two hour layover at Canterbury first.
After parking, we decided to take the river walk into town
There was one place where water was coming in from a different source and was brown in color
The ducks were all lining up where the two met.
They weren't diving, but just holding their heads under the water eating who knows what. They came over to pose.
Next we crossed over into a town of yesteryear.
I found elements of construction interesting,
the height of the doors telling,
And the town itself charming.
We chose not to go into the cathedral as it was expensive and under restoration.
We headed back to the van and met this fellow along the way.
I get to add the moorhen to my bird list.
And More plants I need to look up.
And gorgeous hanging baskets everywhere.
Now Off to Dover.
Yay! Much better! I love all of this!! How’s the food?
