Down Day
Many of you warned us about taking time off to rest. We thought we listened. We thought we were doing this at a slow pace. I even stayed in yesterday while Mike went to check out the Churchill Museum.
No pictures today. Mike went to museum to discover they were booked up until late in afternoon so he wandered around. Parliament, Windsor Castle, and Westminster Abbey are all there. So were most of the tourists in England. And many were lined up to take pictures in front of the two red phonebooths there. Mike said each one had a line about a block long!
The wall to wall people got to him so he decided to come back to the hotel and see about escorting me over to the London Eye and would tour a naval vessel close by. He got my ticket and I had some episode probably involving dehydration and was down for the count.
The ticket was refunded (Mike told them I was having a panic attack) and we took a taxi home ... And watched snooker on TV for 4 hours. Anyone want to know the rules? We are both now experts!
Tomorrow we will take it easy on a bus tour
I am glad you are in a place where you can rest. Not only do you need time to physically recover but after a while you just don't want to see another tourist. :)
