Stratford Upon Avon

The town itself is is medium size with modern structures but down by the river the historical section has been kept fairly authentic.
Well, almost.
Shakespeare's home is here.
As well as some neat other buildings.
The gift shop with a roof so low Mike almost had to duck. (Tom, one of many bookmarks aquired here)
A statue of a Shakespearean fool and quotes from his plays. (Thanks for getting down on the ground to take this for me Mike)
And lunch at a great place the guide told us about. Prawns and avocado sandwich for Mike and a Spanish quiche for me.
And some wonderful dinning partners that rolled over for a belly rub when we Were ready to leave.
On the way back to the bus I spotted a local art installation. They took six of Shakespeare's sonnets and had six different artists interpret them using on of the storefronts as their canvas. I forgot to get a shot of the six of sonnets we, as the viewer's, had to try to match with each work.
Back to the bus and on to Oxford.
