The Town of Stirling
The information we had on our phones led us to believe there was a direct shuttle up to the castle. Not so or no longer so. The bus would only take you maybe half way up the incredibly steep hill. Being the crazy people we have turned into we said, sure, let's just walk up and find lunch along the way.
Stirling is a beautiful town
With odd names.
But Spittal park was delightful.
There was a pedestrian bridge with character.
A fairy garden
Along a nice little street
A monument to William Wallace...seen from the street
And from our lunch spot
There was an old jail.
And no telling what this is.
As we approached the castle we noticed all of the parking spots were green but had concrete plugs to help with purchase and erosion.
Next stop, the castle.
I love all of this!! I can’t believe you chose the walk!! Wow. Good choice though.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh….they didn’t keep either of you at the jail! Good job!
